always I finish a piece, my anxiety to upload it on here is huge. I am usually a very anxious person, and sometimes it blinds me to certain things. my last update, A dream of butterflies, is an example. in fact, after having analysed the figure better, I perceived there's something a bit strange in her anatomy. I am trying to find to best solution to fix that, and, as soon as I get it, I will substitute the image for a new one. well, bones of the job....

I always think that the scans never do the justice to the originals, and when I take them to Photoshop  to make them more "vivid", there's always the problem of "escaping" from the original spirit of the piece. :( I really would appreciate if somebody could give me some tips about scanning drawings and prepare them to visualization on web...

hi dear, thank you very much for your response. sorry for my delay. I've been done exactly that, just adjusting bright and contrast using the "curves" on Photoshop. but the pictures on web never look to me as vivid as the originals, this is why I was intrigued. thanks a lot for the tip!! wish you lots of success and inspiration.

If you are useing photoshop you could just limit yourself to the contrast and brightness. I try to make my pieces look as close to the originals as possible and often that is very easy, just an increase in the contast and perhaps a sharpen. Of course it all depends on the quality of your scanner. You might try adjusting the pixles before working on the image. right away make your file a 200 pixle to increase the quality. Hope this helps. I think you shouldnt feel ashamed of making you work look freeking awesome on the web. Your the only one who is going to know the difference anyway. :innocent:
